Bubble wrap:
How to dispose: 100% RECYCLABLE
The small print:
Oxo-degradable bubble wrap is a more environmentally friendly form of cushion packaging and is 100% recyclable.
This bubble wrap is treated with raw materials which do not contain heavy metals.
When the bubble film is exposed to the combined effects of sunlight, stress, microbes and heat the end result is a product which is digested harmlessly by microorganisms and turned into the basic elements of carbon dioxide, water and biomass.
Individual biscuit “cello bags”:
How to dispose: COMPOSTABLE IN COMPOST OR HOUSEHOLD WASTE
The small print:
Made in the UK from compostable cellulose (derived from renewable wood pulp), these bags are a more eco-friendly packaging alternative to current polypropylene and PVC bags.
Natureflex film has been accredited biodegradable & compostable to 'BS EN 13432' and 'OK Compost'.
These bags are also approved for Anaerobic digestion (ISO 15985) and marine biodegradation (ASTM D6691-09). The film has also been tested to ensure that once composted, it does not adversely affect plant growth.
