Towards the end of 2017 we have not only been busy with many of your tasty Christmas orders, we have also organised two biscuit decorating workshops. These offer not only the final result – a box of beautifully personalised biscuits – but also an experience.

How our biscuit workshops work

The format of our biscuit decorating workshops is as follows: We provide the space, 8 large butter biscuits (gluten-free and dairy-free upon request), branded packaging and a vast amount of cookie cutters in all shapes and sizes, coloured icing and letters to create personalised messages. We then have about 2 hours together in which you can create a box of delicious and pretty bespoke biscuits for yourself or a loved one. Also included are some sweet treats and our expert guidance.

The Biskery meet Leeds best bloggers

For our first workshop of that kind, we were lucky enough to have four of Leeds’ best bloggers to join us. Crunch Corner, Jennie from Life Styled by Jennie, from Life Styled by Jennie, Tina from Tea is for Tina and Phoebe from North of London. Together with those four we spent an evening crafting wonderfully colourful iced biscuit, each and every one being unique and individual.

Our bloggers were a real inspiration for us! Whilst colouring the icing, they did not knead the colour completely into the icing but created a fabulous looking marbled effect which suited the Christmas theme perfectly! One of the reasons why we have come to love these workshops is how much we get back from them. Not only in terms of positive and encouraging feedback and meeting lovely people, but also with regards to inspiration and the wealth of new ideas!

We thoroughly enjoyed hosting the biscuit decorating workshop for these lovely bloggers and hope to see them again soon!

Festive biscuit decorating workshop at Sebby’s.

Just a few days before Christmas we organised a family-friendly festive biscuit decorating workshop at the cosy den at Sebby’s Deli in Far Headingley. We catered for children over the age of 6 and gluten-intolerant attendants. In around 2 hours the lovely group created boxes of stunning Christmas themed biscuits. By getting creative and crafty they tall made a unique last-minute present for their loved one.

Valentine’s Day workshop

If you now feel inspired to join us, we have good news! We will host our next biscuit decorating workshop on February 3rd, 1700 – 1900, at Carousel in Far Headingley. It will be a Valentine’s Day themed one, so be prepared for lots of love hearts, glitter, red icing and messages of love. You can come as a couple too and enjoy the experience together. Or you come with a friend and surprise your other half on Feb 14th with a beautiful box of love-filled biscuits. Tickets are available at £15 per person. Apart from a box of 8 large bespoke biscuits, you receive a hot drink and a treat during the workshop. Simply click on the below event image link or email enquiries@thebiskery.com.
